Tarea Tema 1 - ¿Por qué necesitamos drivers para LEDs?

    Unfortunately, we can't just insert an LED in the power outlet to generate light, because it would easily explode! We need a circuit to ensure the energy quality to the electric grid and the LED light quality for our needs.

     The short 1st video of this blog explain what is an LED and how it works.


     This 2nd video describes why drivers are essential in LED luminaires. It published in the YouTube channel of the Prof. Dr. José Marcos Alonso, who is a Full Professor at the University of Oviedo (UniOvi), in the city of Gijón, Astúrias.

    He is  Igor Bertoncello Barboza, born in Santa Maria, RS, Brazil, in October 10th, 1997. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering by the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Brazil, in January of 2020.     It is possible to use several social networks in the scientific/academic environment, in order to achieve the highest achievable quality for the research developed.      Some of the most famous and recognized research social networks are: ORCID, Google Scholar, About.me, ResearchGate.     In my perspective, these tools and scientific social networks enable to find a wider range of publications, in different editors (IEE, Widley, Elselvier, etc) and to establish contact with many relevant scientists of our field worldwide.     The features provided by these networks are excellent tools for the Researcher 2.0, once they are well used.
