Why is Google Drive important for the scientific activity?

    Social software refers to digital platforms and applications designed to facilitate communication, collaboration, information sharing, and the creation of online communities. These tools enable users to interact with one another through various forms of content, including text, images, videos, and shared documents.

    Google Apps can be highly beneficial for research-related activities due to their accessibility, versatility, and integration capabilities. Tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Forms, and Google Meet provide researchers with a comprehensive digital environment for managing various stages of a research project.

    Google Drive is specifically designed to support collaborative work. Its infrastructure enables multiple users to access, edit, comment on, and review documents simultaneously in real time.

    Therefore, Google Drive serves not only as a storage solution but also as a comprehensive environment that supports the entire research lifecycle. The integration of cloud computing, collaborative editing, communication tools, and data management solutions allows researchers to work more effectively in increasingly interconnected academic environments.

    In conclusion, Google’s services represent valuable technological resources that can significantly enhance the quality, efficiency, and collaborative nature of modern scientific research.

Who is the author behind?

    He is  Igor Bertoncello Barboza, born in Santa Maria, RS, Brazil, in October 10th, 1997. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering by the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Brazil, in January of 2020. He did his final mandatory internship at the Fraunhofer Institute in Dresden, Germany, between August 2019 and January 2020.     It is possible to use several social networks in the scientific/academic environment, in order to achieve the highest achievable quality for the research developed.      Some of the most famous and recognized research social networks are: ORCID, Google Scholar, About.me, ResearchGate.     In my perspective, these tools and scientific social networks enable to find a wider range of publications, in different editors (IEE, Widley, Elselvier, etc) and to establish contact with many relevant scientists of our field worldwide.     The features provided by these networks are excellent tools for the Researcher 2.0, once they are well used.
